Furlong died, my husband became Executor of his estate. Among his papers we found much information on Thomas Stanton Furlong, son of John T. Furlong: born in New York, June 1898. He joined the army in 1918 and was discharged in 1919. Moved to Oxnard, California sometime before 1922. He was a supervisor during the construction of the Metropolitan Water District (1932 - 1940), then became a supervisor during the construction of a Navy Airbase, Midway Island (1940 - 1942)Was appointed Commander of Civilian Defense on Dec. 7, 1941. Then worked for US Navy at Port Hueneme, California from 1943 - 1960. According to the Social Security Death Records He died in Ohio.His wife Miriam died in Sun City, Arizona where they lived since Abt 1973.
