My great-grandfather, Samuel, was born in Maryland around 1840-1841, (exact county unknown), but ended up in Miami County, Ohio, married Christina Reid there in 1870; they raised their family there, and both died and buried in Pleasant Hill, Ohio (Miami County). To date, I have not learned his parent's names nor his siblings, aunts, uncles, etc. It sounds as if you have the nearest info to his family that I have found so far. I saw the listing of Peter and Sarah Cain Furlong and their children, and feel that perhaps you might be able to give me additional info on who the ancestors of Peter Furlong might be----Perhaps he could be a cousin or some close relative of Samuel. By the way, Miami County is the county which borders Montgomery Co to the North (Dayton is located in Montgomery Co). Could you help me with info on Samuel Furlong's family? Would appreciate it.
