    2. Hi Maureen I don't think I have any connection with this man as all my Furlongs are from Pembrokeshire and date back to the mid 1700's. Sorry I can't be of any help but Judy Picard may be able to assist you as I seem to remember that she has done a lot of research into the Newfoundland Furlongs. Bye for now Joy

Classification: Queries Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/GZX.2ACEB/4.83.98.99.100.1.2.1.1 Message Board Post: My tree is as follows: Thomas P. & Mary Lewis John F. & Jane "Jennie" O'Keefe, John F. & Mary Kelly John F. and Mary Kelly (Kelley) immigrated sometime in the 1810-1820 time frame. This information I haven't found exact yet, but from information I received from a researcher in Newfoundland, Canada, this was information that he had found. Thomas P and Mary Lewis had the following children: Francis P. (my father), John, Donald, Thomas, Jean (died as a child). John F. and Jane O'Keefe had the following children: Thomas P., Agnes, Katherine, Phillip, John, Ellen, Peter. I would like to know if any of your "Furlong" family came to Newfoundland from Ireland in the 1800's. If so, I think that would make some kind of connection. My family all immigration to Newfoundland. None that I know of went to Australia or straight to the US. I hope this helps. Please let me know if any of this information sounds familiar. Thank you for responding!! Maureen Gironda
