    1. [FUQUA] Genealogyexperts Scam Update
    2. Jan Roggy
    3. I have had so many wonderful responses and lots of help trying to get this scam out in the open so that no one else will get "taken". Thanks so much to everyone who has given me some advice. I hadn't used my credit card, so there was no way that I could get it reversed. I had used paypal and had it automatically debited from my checking account. I did contact paypal, and I want all of you to know that I just now received an email that they caught up with the person responsible and that I will have my money back in my account tomorrow!!! I know that many of you have alerted different fraudulent activity groups. I really appreciate that, as I don't want anyone else being taken advantage of. I do know that this person left a phone number of 319-329-2117 which is a town of Ely, Iowa, right outside of Cedar Rapids. Their answering machine says Work from your Home... send a SASE. The email address is gfamilyfind@aol.com. The website is www.genealogyexperts.com. Please be alert to this. I have been told that they also use these sites: Genealogydevelopments.com genealogyexperts.com genealogy-express.com genseeker.com genseekers.com genealogyfinders.net genealogyfinders.com familydiscovery.com Please... warn all your genealogy buddies to stay away from them. I was very lucky. I didn't think I'd ever see my money again, but I know that I learned a very valuable lessom from this! I hope that I got the message out in time to save others from the same situation. Let's keep this "junk" out of our wonderful family history sites! Again, thanks to everyone who helped me out and advised me as to where to turn! Jan Rutledge Roggy
