I knew Clara when I was a child. She was my father's (Norbert Brinkmann) first cousin. I remember her as tall and slender, and very pretty. My memory was that she married very young and that the marriage ended without children in divorce very quickly(perhaps the first divorcee in our family - very scandalous). No one ever spoke of the husband. I am sorry to hear of her passing - I remember her as a very pleasant person to be around, and she was very devoted to her mom, who was my grandmother's (Mary Frances Bartsch Brinkmann) baby sister, "Teenie". It seems to me that she was either a teacher in Louisville or a secretary.
