Her parents and older siblings were listed in the 1880 Izard Co., AR census as FUQUAY. She was with the family in the censuses of Fulton Co., AR in 1900 and 1910 and listed as FUQUA. She was enumerated in 1920 in Baxter County, AR in the home of her soon be brother-in-law as Maud FUQUA. She was the second of three wives of Enoch Jackson ADAMS, and their marriage is recorded in Baxter Co. on 3 September 1920 as Enoch Jackson ADAMS, 38 and Maud CUQUAY, 31. Other sources have shown her maiden name in various forms including QUQUAY. One source indicated that Cuquay was her middle name.
