(I did submit a post a long time ago.) She is the only Fuqua in my line at this point—I’m sure that there must be others J if only I could get farther back in time. Not knowing her parents’ names nor her birthdate makes this ancestor particularly hard to trace. My mother's grandmother was Clarissa 'Clara' Fuqua. According to the 1895 (Richardson Co.) NE census, she was born about 1856 in MO. She married Louis E. Wonderly/Wunderlich, who was born in St. Louis, MO, before 1875. He was about 18 years her senior. My mother, Mary Jane [Cooper] Redenbaugh, tried without success to find records of her in Falls City, NE where they had lived. She went to the church there and was told that the records had burned. Clarissa’s youngest daughter was Bessie Elizabeth Wonderly. She married Ezra Silas Cooper, and they were my mother’s parents. Does anyone know who Clarissa’s parents were? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Eloise
