My paternal great-grandmother was Susannah Fuqua. She married William Hunter sometime between 1870 and 1880. His wife as shown in the 1870 census in Mulberry Grove, Bond Co., Illinois is Rozilla and in 1880 is shown as Susannah. My grandmother was their daughter Rozilla(named after his first wife?)and is listed as 2 yrs. old. Susannah is listed as 43. Supposedly she came to Illinois from Kentucky. Rozilla married my paternal grandfather, James Franklin Grigg. When sorting through some of his belongings I came across a Memorial Card for Wilfred Fuqua who died July 20, 1894 at age 10 months. The card was manufactured by Geo. Mitchell of Middletown, Ohio. No indication where the child died. Is any of this familiar to any of you?
