Kayrn You say you found some family group sheets giving Rachel as the wife of Thomas. Did the person who put these together give some sort of source for this information? As for the Louisana connection....there were some Fuquas in Louisana..........but I think you are on the right track with Virginia. There are records of Thomas, Prather and Moses all having land in GA very early on. The Prather name leads right back to Bedford Co VA where William Fuqua married Sarah Prather in 1769. Sarah's father was Thomas..... Have you ever done any research in Bedford County to try and locate some records for Willliam and Sarah? Maybe a will or something.
