Hello The Fuquas from Bullitt County KY originated with Henry and Tabitha Fuqua who came to Kentucky from Bedford County VA. One of their sons was Isham Fuqua, born ca 1780, who married Rutha Lout 17 August 1800 in Bullitt Co. Isham died about 1828 and Rutha died 10 Sept 1865 . (Isham's brother Joseph married Rutha's sister, Elizabeth) Isham's son was Noah, born ca 1815. He married Rachel Hedges, 10 January 1836 in Warrick, IN. Rachel died in 1892 and is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Their son, William was born ca 1836. Henry Fuqua from Bedford Co. VA was the son of Ralph Fuqua and Priscilla Owen Fuqua. Ralph's father was the original immigrant. Henry and Tabitha's other sons were Joseph, John and Henry. Joseph, as I said, married Elizabeth Louts (their parents were Daniel Louts and Hannah Morse) Henry married Nancy Allen..most of their descendants moved to around Coles County, IL. John married a Susannah Leyton in Bullitt County. He lived and died in Henderson Co. and had several articles written about him being an "Indian Scout" etc. The Stephen Fuqua that you mentioned was Noah's brother. Aaron Fuqua was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Louts. Henry and Nancy Allen also had sons John W., Henry and Isham. Henry and Isham both went to IL...no further information on John W.
