Dear List Members, I'm new to this list and I'm probably the one who started the controversy by complaining about the amount of misinformation being presented as part of The Fugua Family History. This is not my style to cause controversy and for that I'm truly sorry. But I think every one is missing the point here. No one is doing themselves a service by quitting a list because they feel these messages are directed at them. They weren't directed at any particular person but at a problem that is very serious. If you will take a look at some family histories presented on the Internet and do the Math you will realize just how ridiculous some of the claims are. More than a few have women having children at age 47, 52, 56, and 58 years of age. I'm a woman as well as a nurse and know this is impossible short of a Biblical miracle! I am not against using information found on the Internet as a basis for your own research. That is what most people who go to the trouble of carefully preparing a web site put it out there for. Still it hurts when you've worked an untold amount of time only to have what you have done claimed by others. If you are going to use the information the least you can do is thank the person and maybe even site that person or web site as a source. Once again, I apologize for starting this. Jan Morgan, a possible Fuqua Family Member.
