Cara, Thanks for your response. You may have put your finger on one of the problems. I have been doing this stuff for so long I have forgotten the initial difficulties I had in finding my way through the processes of subscribing/unsubscribing and posting messages. All of the Lists and Message Boards on Rootsweb use a standard system so, once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature. There are also lots of Lists and Message Boards outside of Rootsweb, and many different processes to use them. I must admit that I find some of them frustrating or even incomprehensible. When I can get to it, I will put out two sets of instructions/explanations. One will be for posting on the Message Board and one will be for posting on the List. In the meantime, if you will send your phone number to me privately, I will call you and walk you through the processes. They are really quite easy. Also, I think your idea about everyone posting their line is great! I hope everyone will do it, even if it is nothing more than the linked names. This will be enough to recognize common lines.
