Re: Susannah Fuqua, wife of John Richardson, as mentioned as dau. of Ralph Fuqua in his will. (Will of Ralph Fugua, Bedford Co, Va. Dated 6 Nov 1765 and proved 7/24/1770). 26 Feb 1748 John Richardson sold 60 ac & plantation in Louisa Co., VA to John Haggard, Wit. Thos. Lipscomb, James Howard, Benj. Dumas. Deed also signed by wife, Susanna (Fuqua) Richardson. Louisa Co. (Louisa Co. Deed Book A). From this deed, it appears that Susanna Fuqua would have been born ca. 1728, not 1750 as some seem to have surmised from Ralph Fuqua's will. John Richardson died, 1795 in Greene, TN Co. (Will entered, Greene Co. TN Ct. Minutes No #/391). Wife Susanna Richardson, executrix. Names sons Jonathan, Obediah (m. Sarah Jane Goodman), Joseph (m. Susanna Goodman), Jesse, Fuquay (Fuqua), daughters Elizabeth, Mary, Siller (Pricilla?). Therefore, Susanna Richardson b. ca 1728, wife of John Richardson, d. after 1795, is presumed by this researcher to be same as dau. of Ralph Fuqua. Does this seem to be pretty solid?
