Hi I personally think that the topic of research and sources should be discussed far more than it is. I appreciate all the discussion about this subject. I do not list my sources on the internet anywhere that I have posted my information because those who so freely take from others without doing the genealogical work themselves are not going to get my sources unless they personally contact me. I too have had others take, errors and all, and attach it their postings without listing me as the researcher and the errors have been carried on to other databases. These errors were made because I was just beginning my research and only had family members' word of mouth. But wanted to get the basic families out there so others would be able to could make a connection. Since that time I have documented and corrected these errors in my database. If someone contacts me I freely share the information and sources if they wish to have them. I have one little step to finish to have my husband's family listed as pioneer settlers of Florida but because I can not prove whether Absalom or his son John Fuquay was the father of Jackson J. Fuquay I have not gone any further with it. I appreciate all you and your researchers do to try to help all of us who are searching for our ancestors.
