Recently, I sent a personal message to each subscriber of FUQUA-L and FUQUA-D. The message was a request for each person to post a query on the Fuqua Message Board, which is automatically relayed to FUQUA-L and, subsequently, to FUQUA-D. This method of query posting assures the maximum possible exposure of the query. Considering the total number of subscribers, the resulting number of queries which were posted was a non-event. However, the request for participation WAS followed by a flurry of people who decided to unsubscribe. Once upon a time, this list was very active. There were lots of queries, lots of responses, and lots of non-emotional discussion of subjects on which there were various opinions. People even did research to find the answers to someone else's queries, and posted the results for everyone's benefit. That has clearly changed. Obviously, I do not understand what subscribers now expect from the list. If anyone out there would like to provide some illumination on this subject, please do so either on the list or privately. Surely, there are still unanswered questions lurking out there. Frank Fuqua List Administrator
