    1. Re: migration, Augusta Co, Va to Henry Co. Iowa
    2. Ernest B. Thompson
    3. Hi Roberta, Norma and All, I am a descendent of the Fultons/Steels/Pattersons/Henrys and several other families of the Augusta Co. (Borden/Beverly Manor) folks of the 18th century. My later ancestors from these lines are buried in the cemetery in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa and from prior notes it appears that there is a pattern of Augusta Co./Borden/Beverly names appearing in Henry Co. Iowa around Mt. Pleasant. Some of you may remember the elusive Margaret (or Martha) Fulton (supposed aunt of Steamboat) who married Samuel Steele of Augusta Co. (early 18th century). For a number of years I have tried to find the parents of this lady, but with no result what-so-ever. If we could ever find out who this lady was, it might show the Fultons of Henry Co. were related to Steamboat. If anyone has anything new on the above Margaret/Martha I would be enormously grateful. I am not related to the Thompsons discussed below.
