I suggest the following: 1) First search the areas where your family was located and try to find more information about them such as names and vital statistics of their children. Are there any Fulton families listed in the church, land, probate records in Ohio Co WV, Monroe Co OH, or Jackson Co WV from 1800 to 1850 ? 2) Look in the 1850 census and find out the birthplace of Henry Karr/Carr/Kerr and of Anna Agnes (Fulton) Karr/Carr/Kerr. At least that will identify what state they were born in or if they are foreign born. 3) In the 1850 census there is a column for real estate value. If it has an entry, then you should be checking land records to find out exactly where they lived in the county in question. The land records will also give you a better idea of when they arrived in the locality and who their neighbors were. Then check where their neighbors were born. 4) Monroe Co, Ohio is south of Belmont Co OH. The middle name Warnock caught my attention since it is a city in Belmont Co OH. By the way George Washington Fulton b in Chester Co PA Aug 1802 d Nov 1864m. Harriet Blanchard 1838, second marriage Mary Ann Kennedy 1846. So this family is NOT yours - married too late. But George Washington Fulton was a trade steam boat engineer on the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers (p 30), so again this showns this family's activity in the area. A collateral line in this book, descendants of Elizabeth Fulton and husband James Hutchinson moved to Belmont Co. Ohio, approx 7 miles from Wheeling ca 1800 and to New Athens, Ohio. (FFL 87-63).
