Robert a Rev Soldier, acquired land from the Marietta Land Office (600 acres) to go north of the settlement of Marietta and protect it from the Indians. In 1803, he came north of Marietta and settled upon the tract of land on the East Fork Of Duck Creek, now known as Caldwell, Noble County, Ohio. I am seventh generation of Robert and Jane.
