However the IGI 1995 shows David Fulton born Paisley c.1793, marrying Agnes Gardner 22nd. Feb., 1814. It also shows children: Agnes, b.25th., June,1823, John, born 19th. Feb., 1828, James, b.30th. January, 1830, Jean b.1st. May, 1832. They were married, and all the children born, in Paisley. This is in the old county of Renfrew, but is NOT Renfrew which is a quite separate town. David is quite a common name. I cannot confirm the accuracy of the dates, and I may have missed another child. However, now you know that you should look in Paisley you could try the Register House indices in Edinburgh, via the internet. The number is www.open.gov.uk/gros/groshome.htm When you get through to this click FAQ and then Scots Origins and you will be able to search the Scottish indices. I hope this may be helpful.
