The brothers had travelled down the Ohio River to Limestone, Kentucky, where they entered military service. After the war they moved to Chillicothe, and then to Columbus. In Clinton Township the brothers settled on military lands (Elijah on Township 1, Range 18, United States Military Lands, what is now River Road and Dodridge Street near the Olentanngy River, James on Township 1, Section 3, Range 18). Elijah and his wife Elizabeth Henderson raised 4 children in Franklin Township; William Fulton, my great great grandfather, Mary Fulton, James Fulton, and Margaret Fulton. Elijah Fulton died in November 1813, and is buried in the Union Cemetary near their home. Tom Fulton August 22, 1999
