    1. Abraham Fulton/Margaret Guthrie
    2. Dear All, I saw a request for information on the above from Henry at 3R7OGJY@CMUVM.CSV.CMICH.ED8U and sent a reply but it could not be delivered. I repeat the content for Henry and anyone else interested. I am mainly interested in the Lisburn, N.Ireland Fultons but have collected assorted other items including the following from my data base:- the Abraham Fulton family lived in Articlave in the parish of Dunboe which lies about four miles west of Coleraine on the road to Londonderry near the north cost of Ireland. I got the detail from the IGI but most of the children had been entered several times at slightly diffeent dates. Where possible I have used the one labelled Dunboe as I assumed it could be from the parish register and is likely to be more reliable, but see below - the appear to have been Presbyterian. Thre family were James b.1747,Mary(Polly) b.1750, Robert b.1751,Abraham (jun) b.1753, Margaret b.1755, Henry B.1757and Joseph b.1759. James and Joseph appear to have remained in the area, James married to Sarah Cochran baptising children between 1770 and 1790, and Joseph married to Miss Irving with two children baptised around 1795. There was an Abraham son of William born 1707 who may have been the one married to Margaret Guthrie, but he did not baptise any of his known children William, which may be significant. Fultons remained in the area and there is a record of a William married to Eliza Jane Morrison about 1860. I have also found a certificate to Abraham, wife and family emigrating to America, issued by the elders of Articlave on 26th May 1772. The family consists of wife, sons James, Robert, Abraham and Joseph, daughter Mary Boyd her husband Jno. Boyd and their daughter Margaret Boyd. As the certificate was issued by "the elders" it is clear that they were Presbyterian. It raise a question about the marriages of James and Joseph - did they return to Ireland or is the IGI incorrect in putting the baptisms of their families in Articlave? I hope this is of use to Henry (sorry I seem to have lost your surname) and others researching this family. Trevor Fulton
