    3. I recently found a great web site that I want to share with you, but first a little background. This is a Books on line at the University of Pennsylvania. (Over 43 pages of titles) The one I found interesting and some of you will also is ; "A narrative of the captivity and sufferings of Benjamin Gilbert and his family: who were surprised by the Indians and taken from their farm on the frontiers of Pennsylvania in the spring, 1780" Published by Joseph Crukshank in 1784 in Philadelphia. Some of you are familiar with the John Fulton Family who where captured in Northumberland Co. Pa. on July 3, 1778, taken to Canada, held for 2 years, and released. The interesting comparison is that the Gilbert family were captured by Indians by the name of Montour(Same as Fultons) taken to Niagara, then to Montreal and held for approximately 2 yrs. the similarity of the two stories are very intriguing.
