FULTON b 12 Apr 1827,d 1893 in Armstrong Co,PA] Date: Tue, 8 Feb 2000 09:05:28 -0500 From:Laurie Dickson <lddickson@amherst.edu> To: "'Roberta (Fulton) Hirth'" <hirth@frontiernet.net> ...But David A. Fulton, who is buried in Apollo cemetery, was my great-great grandfather. Betty Jane is my deceased mother's first cousin. I've never been able to follow the line back any further than David and his wife, Christena Wilson. I had also noticed the repetition of the Wilson name, as I have David's son and daughter's family bible, but it doesn't go "back". my line from David and Christena forward is: David/Christena Alexander Turney (Called Turney or A.T.) Fulton/Clarissa Blystone Emma Ruth Fulton Progecene/James Anthony Progecene Doris Jean Progecene Dickson/Norman Earl Dickson I DO have a newspaper clipping about a cabin in Apollo that was restored and Howard Fulton (Emma's brother) was on the committee. In the article, he mentions that David was a driver on the canal that went along the Kiskiminetas river and spent many nights in that cabin...so who knows where he'd actually been from. ******************************************************************************* Subject:from Bethany Fulton Rainey Date:Thu, 27 Jan 2000 00:40:45 EST From:Grrchick@aol.com To: hirth@frontiernet.net ... I am curious to know more geneology of my family and I am wondering if ther might be a connection. This is my first try! My father is Doyle Leroy Fulton m. to Judith Ann Rearick. His father is John Fulton m. to Mary Scott. .... I know my father has a sister Evelyn m. to John King. She is the eldest at around 78 years of age. There are also 3 other brothers. Evelyn is the oldest child, then my father, then Robert, Victor (Bud) and James is the youngest. If you have the time or the inclination to help I would greatly appreciate it. I also know that my father has some relatives in Michigan but I believe they are Scotts. Thank you agian and I wish you well on your own research. -Bethany **************************************************************************** Also refer to notes in the archives such as: 06 Jul 1999 Subject: David A. Fulton in which I responded to Betty Jane (Fulton) Garcia <rrbjgarcia@webtv.net> explaining there might be connections to the widow Agnes line or the Abraham Fulton/Margaret Guthrie line because of the geographic location. I find it interesting that "DOYLE" appears in Doyle Leroy Fulton's name as well as in Robert Doyle Fulton, who wrote the book The Family of Agnes Fulton (1750-1826). Roberta R.
