    3. Continuing ... you know the rest. NEW INFORMATION!! Tombstone Records of the Abington Presbyterian Church (1938) "Cornelius Wynkoop, d 26 Oct 1754, age 54" "Helena Fulton, relict of Cornelius Wynkoop" Cornelius Wynkoop, 1700-1754, married Helena Van de Grift. Cornelius died in 1754 and the following August, 1755, his daughter Eleanor "Nelle" Wynkoop married Robert Fulton at the beautiful Christ Church in Philadelphia. The bride's mother, widow Helena Wynkoop was there, and several years later on 30 March 1762 at the Abington Presbyterian Church, widow Helena (Van de Grift) Wynkoop married David Fulton. This explains "Helena Fulton" who paid taxes at the Manor of Moreland in 1769. She's a widow again. Also found on page 90 of the 1769 tax list is John Winecope, son of Cornelius and Helena (Van de Grift) Wynkoop. In 1787, John's son, Cornelius (of course) married Margaret "whose mother was a Yerkes." Wow! That has to be Margaret, daughter of David and Elizabeth (Yerkes) Fulton who married 1755 at Christ Church. This new information proves that the Richard Wynkoop summary (3rd Edition) contains at least one error. Wynkoop concluded that Helena was the daughter of Cornelius Wynkoop rather than his widow.
