Hello all, I'd like to ask if anyone is researching the following; William FULTON m. circa 1806-1816, Montgomery Co., OH [and vicinity] Martha GRIMES ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The background on Martha is as follows; Migrated, probably from PA, thru VA, to MONTGOMERY CO., OH by 1805 Mother: Mary GRIMES; probably Mary Elizabeth [BROWN] GRIMES Father: William GRIMES; however there is a 'Samuel' controversey Siblings: James GRIMES, m. circa 1806-1818, Edith WILLIAMSON Elizabeth "Betsey" GRIMES, m. 1810, Edward NEWCOM(B) [of NEWCOM Distillery] Anna GRIMES, m. David McCONNAUGHEY [McCONAIGHEY, McCONNACHEW] [worked at Newcom Distillery] Mary "Polly" GRIMES, m. 1806, Robert C. CRAWFORD [moved to Miami Co., OH] Peggy [Margaret?] GRIMES, m. John CAMPBELL An uncle John GRIMES was all ready living in Montgomery Co. OH before the rest of his brother's family arrived. Samuel GRIMES, probably another sibling, stayed in Rockbridge Co., VA and in 1809 m. Betsey STEELE. His Will, dated 1812, lists the above "uncle John" GRIMES, as executor of the estate and the above widow, Mary [Brown] GRIMES, was listed as a beneficiary.
