On the last sentence of your query, please clarify who was the pastor at Johnston, PA. Was it the Rev Stevenson or the Rev. Fulton. Your note indicates that the Rev. S. Alfred Fulton's mother's maiden name was Harbison. Did you search the archives for Harbison ? There is one entry in the archives of interest dated 01 Jun 1998 regarding a Robert H. Fulton, who came to Page Co. Iowa in 1872 from Indiana County, PA and was born 8 July 1845, the son of Silas and Ann Harbison Fulton. Maybe the Rev S. Alfred Fulton is a Silas. Maybe he was named after an Uncle or perhaps father, but there is a twenty year gap in births between Rev Fulton and Robert H Fulton, so a sibling relationship is more remote. Lots of maybe's.... I would like to know which Fulton family he was descended from and where in Ireland they lived. I have received some papers regarding the family of Ross Stevenson and family. He emigrated from Garrigullen, Camus Parish, Co Tyrone, Nth Ireland to the United States in 1844. One of the papers is a copy of a letter from the Rev. Fulton to Mrs Meyner, (a great grandaughter of Ross Stevenson) and he tells her the Rev. Ross Stevenson married his mother's sister, Martha Ann Harbison, when he was a pastor at Johnston, Pa.
