The name Trayton may be derived from the individuals of that name who appear in the family trees published in Miscellanea Genealogica et Heraldica. Maybe the simplest thing to do would be to wait for Ancestry.co.uk to complete the indexing of the 1871 census or to check the registers for Chalvinton, Sussex. Regards, Charles Fuller.
