    3. Dear List; I am having a problem locating my Great Grandfather before 1870..I found him on the 1870 census with his wife Mary and son George Washington. They are in St. Louis where my granddad was born in 1859. I know from family oral history that he was born 1836 in Vermont. I can not find him in 1840 census as a three or four year old. I could not find him in 1850 or 1860 census in either Vermont or Missouri His wife's name is Mary (last name unknown) born in Ireland. William D Fuller is buried in Friedens Evangelical Cemetery as is his wife Mary and son and daughter-in law, though not in the same burial plot. Did William and Mary and son just drop down from space and land in St. Louis Missouri in 1870 or have I missed them? William was a Stove Molder by trade. St. Louis used to have several Iron factories and there were a couple of stove factories . Can some one give me a clue as to where I can find William ----I do not know what the D stands for ---my grand dad married twice, and children by Helen Shea were named William, Sylvester, and George. His second wife was Lillian Schwack and there were six sons and a daughter from that marriage, Edward (my dad), Charles, David, Gerald, John, Arthur, and Lilliian, another son Eugene died very young. Can some one point me in a new direction? Thanks for listening to me. Doris JEANE Fuller Dalrymple. . Many would be scantily clad if dressed in their own humility. HUGS HUGS HUGS

    3. Hi Doris: Well, this could be confusing. Found in the 2nd (November)1880 census in Enumeration Dist. 156, your William D. at 4502 Bellfountaine Rd. (North St. Louis not far from the river). He's listed as 47 yrs., a Stove Molder married to ANNA N. 39 - (no Mary found, but everything else fits). He states he was born in Vt. as well as both parents. Anna states she was born in Ky and both parents in Ireland. There is no mention of a Mary but all seems to fit otherwise. George W. lives with them, is 20 and also a Stove Moulder. George was born in Mo. I would look at a possible employer to be The Missouri Stove Foundary on North Broadway. North Broadway turned into Bellfountaine Rd. at some point. (I'm from StL) Also: In the 1889-90 Missouri Directory there is a William D. Fuller at 4424 N. Broadway who is a molder. I just found you probably have most of this since you are registered on Ancestry.
