Greetings all, My Fuller research problem sounds a lot like Belinda's, so I decided to send it out once again to the list. Enoch Fuller appeared in what is now Ashtabula County, Ohio about 1807 as one of the very early pioneers. Several history sources, plus the 1850 census, all agree he was from "New York". On the 1850 census he said he was 69, so that puts his birth year about 1781. Enoch Fuller married Karenhappuch Palmer in 1809 in Ashtabula, and lived there his entire life. I have good information on descendants of his daughter Julina, born 1822, from whom my line came. Supposedly he had 14 daughters and 3 sons, but I only have solidly documented 2 children, including a son Josiah born 1811 and daughter Julina. There are some garbled oral traditions in the family involving a Josiah Fuller who "beat the snare drum in the Revolution" and the fact that Julina told her children they were Mayflower pilgrim descendants through her. I've chased down most, if not all, of the Josiah Fullers who were in the Revolution, and find no evidence that they were Enoch's father. There was an Aaron Fuller in Ashtabula County who died in the mid-1800s, and on the death record I found that his father was named Josiah and that he (Aaron) had been born in New York. So maybe Aaron was a brother of Enoch's. I haven't yet worked this angle. I've bought both "Mayflower Descendants Through 5 Generations" books (Edward Fuller and Samuel Fuller) and can't connect to Enoch, or a viable Josiah, that way either. I know about the Peter Fuller who died in Plymouth Township, Ashtabula County, and was a documented pilgrim descendant. He was from the Windham Green, NY family, but I see no evidence that Enoch had any relationship to that family, which is pretty well documented.
