Dear Friends and Fellow Researchers, I have ZERO desire to get caught up in the current "Mayflower Fuller" vs "Other Fuller" controversy. I would observe, however, that the idea of having a private "members only" site restricted to those who can prove their Mayflower roots seems, to me, to be self-defeating. After all, this prevents even those who HAVE Mayflower roots, but who haven't yet discovered them, from finding the very people who could help them make those connections. It's disheartening to see the flames that one message generated, but I understand the reaction. People's feelings get hurt when they're told that they are "not allowed" in the club . . .
