1. Re: Aaron Fuller, b. 1824 NY, son of Josiah Fuller
    2. Hi Don, Your inquiry caught my eye as I have a Gilbert Fuller born 1814, LeRay, Jefferson Co., NY. He died in 1883 but there is no death record. I have no direct proof, but a preponderance of evidence that his father was Josiah Fuller, who was born around 1785. This Josiah married Mary/Polly Fowler. Josiah died early on--by about 1834 and she married Charles Ensign. For them to be connected, my Gilbert would have to be a brother of your Aaron. I have not had much luck with the siblings of Gilbert. I know of a Nancy and Lucy. This Josiah was a son of Isaac Fuller and Judith Buel. Isaac is not a Mayflower Fuller--goes back to John Fuller of Newton. I have read there is a connection to the Mayflower Fullers (cousin???) but I have not really pursued this. The wife's line--Judith Buel is great--goes back to Gov. Thomas Dudley (great for those into royal lines), his daughter Anne Dudley Bradstreet (America's first poetess) and her husband Gov. Simon Bradstreet. Anyway--don't know if twhat you have connects to what I have, but, just in case, here it is. You have your Aaron born NY-- was it Jefferson Co? Does the death record list the mother's name? Would be Mary/Polly to connect. If it does, I would be thrilled to get a copy of this death record to show Josiah as the father. Do you know if this Josiah was dead by 1840? These are the key elements for a connection. Gail Adams Virginia

I discussed the potential DNA test with someone at the Fuller Society, as I thought that would be the best place to gather momentum for the project and the best and most secure place to store and disseminate the results. The Fuller Society was considering an article for their quarterly newsletter to explore the possibility. If you are serious about the project, please contact the Fuller Society at: http://redrock.sedona.net/fullersociety/links.htm Express your desire to see them administer the DNA test and then spread the word! 2. Hi Lory, Sorry -- your James could well be a relative of my Fullers, but I have so far failed to determine where in New York my Ashtabula Fullers came from. They claimed to be Mayflower pilgrim descendants, so that limits it a little bit (if true), but there were quite a few Mayflower Fullers in New York state by the Revolution and the next couple of decades. Until I can limit the area of searching, I'm pretty much shooting in the dark. Good luck! Best Wishes, Don Boyd Fairborn, Ohio U.S.A. http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/o/y/Donald-Boyd-OH/

    3. What are the requirements to DNA testing? Do you have to be a direct male descendant? OR can anyone in the Fuller bloodline take the test?

    2. Aaron Fuller was born in "New York" in 1824 and married his cousin Julia Ann Fuller in 1845, at Ashtabula, Ohio. >From his death record (1881), Aaron's father was a Josiah Fuller of New York. Say b. 1783 - 1803. Julia Ann's father was Enoch Fuller, b. "New York" abt. 1781. Is anyone aware of a Josiah Fuller b. 1783 - 1803, with a son Aaron of this age? My subject is Enoch's ancestry, but this is the best angle that I've turned up. Thanks for anything. 2. Is there enough interest in a Fuller DNA test? It certainly would assist in determining which Fuller line an individual descended from and that would assist each of us in our genealogy search. Harlan

    3. I am searching for birth record for my great grandfather, Jeduthan Fuller. According to his tombstone he was born in 1820 and one of the census indicates he was born in Massachusetts. I have some information indicating that Nathan, Jr and Hannah Dyer could be his parents. Also, I think he was born in Ashfield, Ma. although the town clerk there said they had no record. Any help or leads would be appreciated.
