    3. -----Original Message----- From: Masonline@webtv.net [mailto:Masonline@webtv.net] Looking for imformation on the fuller family that lived in western New York. that was said to be Indian? Eveline fuller she then married a frank.......shirley Shirley: My great-great-grandfather, illegit. So had his mother's name (Charles FULLER was in the Civil War and was discharged (honorably) from Leavenworth, KS, and made his way back to CT where he married my great-great-grandmother in Hartford CT in 1875. Here's the connection: according to the gov't pension file he had a wife in western NY (maybe close to Bradford cty PA where he had family) This western NY wife was supposedly named Adelaide (any number of spellings) and supposedly they had a son (between 1865 & 1875) named Willy (William??) The first wife was never mentioned in CT and never really identified by the pension file, but supposedly she died and he moved on, leaving son with her family. Before he settled in CT he was supposedly in turn, a pest, a nuisance, a freeloader, and a rogue - gleaned from relatives' statements, esp his great aunt Cecelia FULLER WIARD, in Ohio. Does ANY of this connect to anything you have in western NY? I'd love to get a picture of those 10 missing years, and he may have been with your Fuller's in New York. I know I've rambled a bit an told lots of extraneously detail, but wanted to get out most of the deadends on this character of mine. Hope to hear from you. Paul Bomely

    2. Laura Gould
    3. Hello, I am looking for information on John S. FULLER born abt. 1851 in Ohio. I am hoping to find his parents' names. They are not listed on his death record and so far I have not been able to find his marriage record. In 1880 he was in Arcadia, Gratiot County, MI with his wife Cornelia (Nellie) STANTON born 1860 in MI and daughter Elsie born 1878 in MI. In 1900 He was in Lake View, Cook County, IL with his wife, son John born 1889 in MI, daughter Myrtie born 1890 in MI, and son Rueben born 1893 in IL. John and Nellie were said to have nine children in all. In 1900 only five were still living. There was an Effie born 1882. John died in Cook County, IL December 30, 1906. Myrtie married a Leroy SMITH. That is all I know so far. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Laura

I have asked this question several times and have received a great deal of favorable response to this question. The Fuller Society was going to consider presenting this question to their membership in their newsletter last winter. Was this done? I think it is time to verify the validity of the Fuller ancestral lines through the use of DNA testing and many of you agree with me. The only reason that I can think of that this has not been done is that some are afraid that this may prove that their ancestral line isn't what they claim it to be. Hummm??? So how about it? Let's just do it! Harlan Go for it. I do genealogy and keep track of my Fuller line mostly for anecdotal and historical reference (I have no interest whatsoever of being in the Mayflower Society) but I don't mind participating in something like this just for the sake of clearing things up for other people who ARE more concerned about it. -Elizabeth

    3. EDITH Fuller update. Hi again. As an update to my first post (today, 23 April 2004) regarding EDITH FULLER, her father CHARLES Fuller was also shown as a Furniture Dealer on the 1881 census, as below. CHARLES FULLER, age 59, Furniture dealer, 12 Whitehall Terrace, Tottenham. 1881 census. MARY (nee MOUNTFORD), age 53. Residence:12 Whitehall Terrace, Tottenham, Middlesex. Later, at Edith's wedding (1898) he was shown as Tobacconist at 928 (128?) High Rd. Tottenham As originally stated, CHARLES was a bricklayer at Edith's birth, address given as 928 (128?) High Rd. (1869). Thanks for any information. Pete Fisk

    3. Hi, from England. I am new to the FULLER list and need to find my great grandmother, EDITH FULLER. Edith was born in Tottenham, Middlesex, 27 June 1869. Her parents were CHARLES and MARY (formerley MOUNTFORD). Edith's birth address appears to be 928 (possibly 128) High Road, Tottenham. Her father, Charles was registered as a Bricklayer at Edith's birth, though as a Tobacconist at her marriage. Edith married Joseph James HOWARD on 6 November 1898 at The Parish Church, Tottenham - witnessed by an Eleanor FULLER and Joseph William HOWARD. Joseph James HOWARD was a local Dairy owner, from Wood Green. Joseph later became a Policeman in Wandsworth, later transferring to the Chatham Dockyard Police. living at Trafalgar Road, New Brompton (Gillingham), Kent. Edith died 17 September 1952 (age 82) whilst living at 12 Stopford Road, Gillingham. Joseph Howard died earlier, 20 Sept 1941 (age 77). Any information regarding Edith (or Joseph Howard) - either birth, marriage or death would be great. With thanks, Pete Fisk
