    1. Thanksgiving Guest-Rosanna Fuller 1826-1850
    2. I would invite my gg-grandmother Rosanna Fuller. I believe she was born about 1826 in New York. But of course I am not really sure. She married Richard Stetson Hannaford June of 1846 in Cincinnati and then moved to Pittsburgh where her only child, Lucy Harriet Hannaford was born in 1848. I would give her whatfor for not leaving more clues. Then I would ask her about her parents, siblings etc. I would ask how she died so young in about 1850 and tell her how my mother and I have searched for her for 30 plus years. Barbara

    3. My choice would be the Alice Eldora Williams about whom I posted a few days ago and now appears at http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/WILLIAMS/2005-11/1131416864 where you can see all the dates and places. It would be wonderful to meet my great-grandmother who was gone before my time. And I'm sure my father, who is still alive and kicking, would like to see his grandmother again. And while we're at it let's bring her husband Edward Jones Washburn back who was gone even before my father's time. Well, let's have a look at them. Here they are! The first one (http://www.feliixplace.com/familypics/000032.jpg) is Alice and daughter Evangeline who was age 1 so the photo would have been taken in 1896. The next one (http://www.feliixplace.com/familypics/000037.jpg) is Alice by herself. The hand writing on the back says "Alice E. Washburn Madison Maine" so it would be 1891 or later. Maybe a wedding picture? Finally here's ole Edward himself (http://www.feliixplace.com/familypics/000111.jpg) maybe taken around the same time as Alice' pic. Happy Thanksgiving to all. David

    3. Hi Folks, Wow, what an amazing response! Many thanks go out to all who responded to my request for invitations to our ancestors for Thanksgiving Dinner, and this thank you goes also to those who have not yet responded -- messages are still coming in. In all the years I've been managing mailing lists this has got the be the most successful request for messages. Thanks again to all for your overwhelming response. Next month we have another holiday time and I plan something for then also -- so this can get you thinking about your ancestor(s) ahead of time. There will be a slight twist to my question but I'll keep it under my hat for now. :) Meanwhile I haven't sent in my own response yet so that will be coming in a few minutes. I do have nearly 60 lists to send to so I cannot possibly come up with as many responses for all the lists so I'll send the one I sent to another list. Yes, I'll admit, I got the idea from another list. :) Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate it and well wishes to all, David, list dad http://www.feliixplace.com/genealogylists/

    2. I would invite my grandfather Spencer J. Fuller. He died before I was born so I never knew him He was born in Erie County New York in 1862. His father was William S Fuller. He along with my Grandmother and their four oldest children homesteaded in Caddo County Oklahoma in 1900 which was Oklahoma Territory at that time. I would want to talk to him about the move to Oklahoma in a covered wagon. I would want to have him tell me about his father and his grandfather and where he was born. I'm sure he could tell me about his family. Zola Webster Zolaweb@AOL.com

Then I would ask him to tell me his entire life story. Of course, I would ask any other descendants of Ben who have been sharing info with me to join us for dinner too. 1. Thanksgiving with Jonathan Fuller
    2. Diana L. Gill
    3. For Thanksgiving dinner, I would like to sit down with my great (5th) grandfather, Jonathan Fuller Jr. (b.ca. 1740-50 and d. 27Oct1808 in Foster, RI) and his wife, Martha (TINGLEY) Fuller (1736/37 - 1828) in their hometown of Foster, Rhode Island. I would ask if besides my great (4th) grandfather, Obed Fuller (13Jul1777-29Dec1849) and his brother, Bela (1775-1814, never married) and his brother, Isaac Fuller (9Sep1779-8May1814), did he have any daughters? Then I would ask him when he was born (ca. 1740? ca. 1750?) and where? RI, MA, CT? What was his mother Hannah's maiden name? Was he really called "Jr?" I would tell him that in Foster and Scituate, RI land deeds and town records, I find him referred to as "Jonathan Jr." and that I have a land petition dated January 3, 1784 where Jonathan Fuller Jr. of Foster, RI petitions the RI Assembly to sell "A small lot of land in Foster" which belonged to the estate of his honorable mother, Hannah Fuller, late of Foster. Signing this petition were "we, the subscribers, being heirs" to Hannah's estate, support Jonathan Jr.'s petition. These heirs must have been my great (5th) grandfather Jonathan Jr.'s siblings: David Fuller, Sarah and Andrew Yeaw and Susannah Fuller. Tell me great (5th) Grandfather, where did these great (5th) aunts and uncles live? Oh - one more question - who were your grandparents? I have tried for nearly twenty years to find out but can't find the right paper trail. There were many Jonathan Fuller Jrs. And Srs. In the 1700s and early 1800s in the Northeast. Do you descend from Robert Fuller? Are you, indeed, a Mayflower descendant as some cousins tell me? Thanks so much for letting me ask these questions! Diana L. Gill (Addie5 William4 Obed 3 Jonathan1-2 Fuller) (so far.) Harvard, MA

    3. I may invite only ONE ancestor? Oh, that's cruel! Ah well, if I must be limited, the guest must be my great-grandfather, William Whaley Fuller, born in Ontario, Seneca County, New York on 14 Jan 1828, fought in the Mexican War, wed Jennie Adelia Thompson in Cuyahoga County, Ohio in 1856, and died in Rolla, Phelps County, Missouri on 21 Jan 1915. I would have him talk my ear off about his life and, hopefully, tell me where my great-great-grandfather, Jacob Fuller (born in Royalston, Massachusetts on 30 Mar 1792) and his wife, Elizabeth Dunn, went after they last appear in the 1860 Census of Seneca, New York. Where did they live? When did they die? Where are their unknown graves? Then, when I have those answers, I'll ask what became of William Whaley's brother Charles W. Fuller (born 1834 in Seneca, New York), his wife Catherine, and their children, Sarah J. Fuller (born about 1858 in New York) and Napoleon J. Fuller (born about 1859 in New York). What a wonderful Thanksg! iving that would be! Bill (actually, William Harry) Fuller http://members.mato.com/wfuller

    3. I would invite my g-g grandfather Aspinwall Fuller who was born in 1851 and lived in New York City. My questions would be "Dear grandfather Aspinwall please tell me about your father William Fuller as we know so little about him. We ask so your future family can find out about him and his immediate family, when and where he was born, what was his profession and when did he pass and how? And grandfather Aspinwall please give us details about you fathers family tree and was he really a descendant of the Mayflower Fullers? Also grandfather please tell me about your brothers William, Howard and James Jones and sisters Susie and Bessie. And perhaps most important to me personally please tell me about your short life. You went from a prison inmate in sing sing to the president of a powerful shipping union only to die at age 38. And grandfather tell me about your two daughters one of whom was my grandmother Susan Black Fuller. After we talk grandfather we will all sit down a! nd have a great dinner and give thanks for sharing our time together" Sincerely Roger your g-g- grandson. This is a great way to get our feelings out and I appreciate our listowner for thinking about this novel idea.

    3. I would like to have Thanksgiving dinner with Frank Fuller Thompson b. 1879 Minn. MN; d. 1961 Salem OR. I would like to ask him who was he named after. He is my birth father and I have been able to go back with his parents but I cannot find where he got Fuller for his middle name. I have asked here if anyone knew of a Fuller-Thompson marriage; Fuller-Walker, Fuller-Walton and no one has. I've given this info to the Walker and Walton rootsweb list but no luck. Maybe just a Fuller Friend? His grandparents on the Walker-Walton side come from Maine; as far as I know the Thompsons are from New York but maybe Maine before that! Any help out there? Thanks and have a great holiday season. Colleen Cook candmcook@comcast.net
