    3. I am new to this list, seeking information on my FULLER ancestry to fill in what I have and expand upon it. The earliest name I have is Wilson FULLER, born 1820 in New York State. He died in 1864 in Huntsville, Alabama. His wife was Mary Jane PARKER, also born in New York State, about 1817. She died in 1896 in Courtland, Kansas. They had 6 children, the youngest died as an infant. I am descended from their son, Edgar William FULLER, born 1849 in Philadephia, Jefferson, New York. He died in 1907; his wife was Jane Lucerby GREENLEY. I would appreciate any information or connections that could be provided. Lory Jean Fuller Whicker

    2. In response to several inquiries, the source of the story is in the following publication: "Anglo-Saxon England", by Lloyd & Jennifer Laing, London: Paladin/Grafton Books, c 1979, Paladin reprint 1987, ISBN 0-586-08371-5, US Distributor: Hunter Publishing, Inc., 300 Raritan Center Pkwy., Edison, NJ 08818, Ph 201-225-1900, $9.95 Pages 235-236 relate a brief history of the artifact, which is shown in Figure 111. My interest is more with the identity of Captain FULLER (vs the brooch), and in general, FULLER families from the area south of Oxford, a region formerly in north Berkshire, circa Abingdon & Didcot. 1. William Fuller Knox county, Indiana Early to mid 1800's
    2. Roger Corbin
    3. I am trying to find out some more information on a William Fuller who lived in Knox County, Indiana and later moved to Will County Illinois. Does any of this sound familiar ? William Fuller (Early to Mid 1800's) Lived in Knox county, Indiana and later in Will County Illinois. William married Elizabeth. They had one child that I know of Frank C. (1851-1944) Frank C. Fuller. Born on 9 Jan 1851 in Knox County, Indiana. Frank C. died in Fairmont, Minnisota on 8 Jan 1944; he was 92. Buried in Lakeside Cemetery - Fairmont, Minnisota. Frank C. Fuller spent his boyhood days along the banks of the Wabash river, just seven miles from Vincennes. Shortly after his mother died they moved to Will County Illinois. It was there that he met and married Charlotte Lewis. Frank C. Fuller came from one of America's pioneering families. Both his grandfathers fought in the Revolution and the war of 1812. On 8 Jun 1874 when Frank C. was 23, he married Charollote Jane Lewis, in Will County, Illinois. Born on 14 Mar 1858 in Near Joliet, Illinois. Charollote Jane died in 1942; she was 83. They resided in Illinois until the family moved to Iowa in 1889. In 1892 they moved to a farm near Swea City, and later moved to Fairmont, Minnisota in 1920. They had the following children: Amy Jane (1881-1947) Erma Grace Blanche Edna Pearl Roy Cal I did find an 1860 census listing of a William H. Fuller in Knox county, Indiana, but I'm not positive that it would be him.

    1. Fuller Brooch
    2. I recently read about a late Saxon artifact, ornamental metalwork, called the Fuller Brooch. It was bought by a London junk dealer circa 1910 and was eventually acquired by the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Soon denounced by experts as a fake, it was bought by a Captain Fuller. In 1949 the discovery of a similar piece gave authenticity to Fuller's artifact. After confirmation by the British Museum, Fuller sold it to the Museum for a small sum with the condition that it be called the Fuller Brooch. Does anyone have further details about this Captain Fuller? Doug Fairchild <[email protected]>

    1. Phillip FULLER
    2. Gary and Debbie Nation
    3. Any information I have on my Fuller line is very sketchy & jumbled. This was all told to me by my father & grandmother: Phillip Fuller was a proffesor at Oxford & after a disagreement there he quite & signed on to work his way to America on a ship. He married a woman from Canada by the name of Clara ?. They had 3 children; George, Julia, & Edward Phillip (my grandfather). I am not sure when Edward was born but it was probably around 1890 to 1900 & d. 1962 in Gray Ok. He was born on a ship off the coast of Nova Scotia & his birth was recorded in Rockport Mass. Edward left home & worked his way west at an early age but the other 2 children stayed around Mass. Edward married Abigail Delaine Sweigart( b. 30 Oct 1910 in Wichita Ks) in Perryton Tx bef. 1928. They had 6 children: Edward Phillip Fuller II b. 7 May 1928, Natalie Winifred b. 22 May 1930, Clara Blanche & Clora May(twins) b. 24 Feb 1932, Abigail delaine b. 2 June 1934, William Joseph .b 28 Feb 1945. Edward & Abigail had a farm in Gray Ok. My dad & grandmother also tell me that we are related to the Mayflower Fullers. That our line comes from a brother or cousin of Samuel, I think. if any of this sounds familiar to anyone I would appreciate hearing from you because I am lost except for the ones that are still living. My grandmother says they named my Aunt Clara after Phillips wife. Debbie Nation [email protected]

    1. Descendants of Enoch and Karenhappuch Fuller
    2. Enoch Fuller, from New York, and Karenhappuch Palmer, born in Maryland, were married in Geauga County, Ohio 12 January 1809, and resided in Ashtabula, Ohio. They are mentioned in "Pioneer Women of the Western Reserve" by Gertrude Van Rensselaer Wickham as early residents. Known children were Josiah S., b. 1810, Julina, b. 1822, Horatio P., born abt. 1831, and Ruth, b. 1834. According to the Wickham book, there were many other girls. Josiah S. Fuller, b. 14 Oct 1810, lived in Ashtabula, Ohio. He married first Mary Steward and they had Caroline, b. abt. 1834, Mary, b. abt. 1835, Catherine, b. abt. 1840, Josiah S., b. abt. 1843, George P., b. abt. 1846, and Adelaide, b. abt. 1847. He married second Caroline Steward in 1857, and with her had Arrie Jane, b. abt. 1862. Julina Fuller married John C. Munsinger in Oberlin, Ohio in 1850 and was my gg grandmother. I have a database of her descendents. Horatio P. Fuller died about 1870 and left a son Palmer C. Fuller, b. abt. 1860. Palmer's court-appointed guardian was Albert Brakeman. Ruth Fuller, b. 1834 was reported (IGI) to be a child of Enoch and Karenhappuch, but I have not documented her. Of the children of Josiah S. Fuller, the following is known: Josiah S. (Jr.) married Harriet Phelps in 1865 and was listed in Ashtabula city directories until the 1920s. George P. Fuller was living in Boston in 1895 and performed the duties of executor for his father's estate in that year. Adelaide Fuller's married name was Cherry in 1865 and she lived in Michigan. Arrie Jane Fuller married Adelbert A. Fox in 1884 and was living in Mentor in 1895. I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who has further information about this family. Thank you.
