Dear Friend Fuller, I need information on a Samuel Fuller who was born circa 1750 CT. He fought in the Rev. War, and received a pension. He first collected his pension in Vermont, and in 1834/35 had his pension transfered to Rochester, NY. His reason was to be near his children. His pension papers, that listed his transfer to Rochester, were with pension papers of a William Kelley who was having his pension transfered to the New York Agency too. Has anyone any info on these two people? Best wishes, Frances Porter
Does anyone know of a James Horace FULLER who married Ethel Lottie McDERMOTH Jan. 1, 1906 in Aberdeen, WA? I believe Ethel's father, Charles McDERMOTH was a Methodist-Episcopal minister there. If you have a legitimate connection to this family, I have an item of interest for you. Please contact me personally by e-mail. Thank you. Sharon
Hi. I have Maria Fuller-Mickel, parents were Daniel and Sarah A. Utter-Fuller. Daniel is believed to have been born in Orange County, NY late 1790's early 1800's. From family notes, letters, etc., have a reference which lists the name of Consider Fuller. I need to find out if any of you know of a Consider Fuller being the descendant of either Dr. Samuel or his brother, Edward Fuller of the Mayflower Pilgrims. Maria was born in 1830, Franklin Township, NY. Any help appreciated. Thank you, Sir Ben and Lady Mary

I would love to find parents/siblings for my Robert H. Fuller. He was supposedly born in KY and died in Metropolis, IL. Robert H. Fuller and wife Margaret Vest were in Metropolis IL, mid tolate 1800s. Their son Pressley Fuller was a boat caulker and later a boat builder. I have watched this list for sometime and have not seen Robert as a common name for Fuller men, so if anyone has a Robert who could possibly be mine, please get in touch! Scottie

I need information on a Solomon Fuller. Martha Murray was in the 1870 census for Adams Co, IN. Martha was the widow of James Fuller, b 1811 Mass. In the 1850 census for Adams Co, IN James and Martha (Madison) Fuller have his uncle, Solomon Fuller, with them. James died 1852 age 83. He was son of Edward and Ruth Shepard Fuller, and was born 1769 MA. I have no idea where this Solomon Fuller came from, or where he went. He would have been much older than the one born in 1807, but may fit in there some where? June Smith ----- Original Message ----- From: MRH <[email protected]> Which Fuller line do you descend from? William Whaley FULLER (b. 14 Jan 1828, Ontario Co, NY; d. 21 Jan 1915, Rolla, MO) had, among other children, Frank Alexander FULLER (b. 15 Oct 1858, Ontario Co, NY; d. 29 May 1927, Newburg, MO). Frank and his sons, Edward Franklin, Bert H., Harry Walker, Leroy Alexander, Ivan Eugene, and Herman H., all were lifelong railroaders in the employ of the Frisco Railroad, primarily around Newburg, MO. The January 1928 issue of The Frisco Employees Magazine published an article on this family entitled "Fullers Serve Frisco 107 Years." I have transcribed that article and would be happy to e-mail a copy to any list member for the asking. Should anyone else on the list be researching this branch of the FULLERs, or if you would like to receive the Frisco article, please contact me at [email protected] William H. This has some very intresting places of births and deaths. I say this due to the fact that if any of the FULLER line mentioned below are relatited to our FULLER branch, then for the past 16+ years we have been living in the vacinity of their old stomping grounds. The Tucannon is not the name of a town but one of the richest fishing rivers in the state of Washington. It is located within (the closest point) 25 miles of our home. Dayton, WA is just 8 miles East of us and the town of Milton, (now merged with the town of Freewater to form Milton~Freewater, Umatilla, OR) is aprox 10 miles South of Walla Walla, WA with our home being 20 miles North northeast of Walla Walla. In the time frame you have mentioned, Dayton and the Tucannon were both in the County of Walla Walla before Columbia County split in about 1889. Jimmie R. Whenever I discover new information, I revisit the puzzle of the various Simeon Fullers who were in GA during the first half of the 19th Century. The five (5) that I have identified so far are outlined below and briefly annotated. However, I am prepared to discover more of them. I am sure that I have mangled some facts in what follows, but I am also questioning several assumptions that various descendents have claimed as true, but which I believe are still very much unresolved. I am posting to the Fuller List hoping that some of you can help me with this puzzle. The five (5) Simeon Fullers about which I have information are as follows: (1) Simeon Fuller Sr, who married 2nd Eliza Rawls, 17 Nov 1833, in Putnam Co GA. He is believed to be the son of Shadrack Fuller, Testator of 1798, Marlborough (sic) Co SC. In my opinion, the evidence is largely circumstantial, but it is so compelling that we accept it as fact. I do not question it myself, but there is no "smoking gun" so to speak. Simeon Fuller Sr. has many descendents who have researched him thoroughly. This Simeon is also believed to be the father of either Simeon Fuller who went to Russell Co AL about 1841 or of Dr. Simeon Fuller who removed to Mt Meigs AL about 1843 (see discussion below). He died in Walton Co GA after the 1850 Census. Note: All three of these Simeon Fuller's lived in Putnam Co GA at about the same time before moving on. (2) Simeon Fuller who was the MD. He married Caroline Shellman, nee Lucas, 18 Jan 1838 in Putnam Co GA and later removed to Mt Meigs AL where he died young at the age of 34. He was about 26 when he married Caroline and about 24 or 25 when he was licensed to practice medicine. He was licensed to practice medicine by the State of GA on the 1st Monday in December 1836. He was living in Putnam Co GA at the time, although he had attended Medical School in PA. He left GA between 1842 and 1844. I conclude this from the fact that he had a child born in GA about 1842 and a child born in AL about 1844 Dr. Simeon was born about 1812, maybe late 1811. I conclude his year of birth from the "Burials and Deaths Reported in the Columbus (Georgia) Enquirer: 14 Oct 1846, Wednesday Vol. XIX # 43" It states: "DIED: At his residence in Mt. Meigs, Alabama, on Monday 28th September, Dr. Simeon Fuller, formerly of Eatonton, Georgia, in the 34th year of his age." All of the above are proven facts, and Dr. Simeon Fuller has several descendents who have researched him and his descendents thoroughly. (3) Simeon Fuller who removed from GA about 1840 or so to Russell Co AL and married Sarah ______. Some of his descendents claim that his wife was Sarah Brown, although there seems to be some disagreement about her surname or at least about which Sarah Brown. However, there is no doubt that her given name was Sarah. This Simeon was likely born about 1810 and has one or two descendents who have researched him. Much is known about his later life and many of his children, but no clear picture has emerged about his earlier life and the identity of his wife. When he exactly left Putnam Co GA has not been precisely established, but he did live for a time in Russell Co AL. Later he moved back to GA. He may have moved from Putnam Co GA to another GA County before settling in Russell Co AL, but that depends on when he left Putnam Co GA. There is controversy about whether this is the Simeon Fuller Jr listed in the 1840 Putnam Co Census or not. Some claim that the ages of the children in the household argues for Dr. Simeon Fuller being this Simeon Fuller, Jr. because of the older children of Caroline Lucas Shellman Fuller. However, it is possible that a similar argument could be made for Simeon Fuller who went to Russell Co AL and his wife Sarah. (See my questions below about James Brown, aged 15, in this Simeon's 1850 household.) >From the 1850 Russell Co AL Census we know that he had a child born in GA about 1840 and a child born in AL about 1842. Also living in his Russell Co household was a 15 year old male named James Brown. As of now, I have no explanation for who this 15 year old James Brown was. Regardless of who James Brown was, I doubt that this Simeon Fuller married Sarah Brown on 7 May 1826, as one of his descendents claims, and was still having children every 18 to 24 months by her in 1850, as the 1850 Russell Co AL Census indicates. There was a 5 month old in the household in 1850 and the Fuller children were enumerated as being: 13, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and 5 months. And, of course, there was the 15 year old James Brown plus 40 year old Simeon and 40 year old Sarah. This age span requires a 10 year gap between the oldest known Simeon and Sarah Fuller child and an 1826 marriage. Besides which both Sarah and Simeon would have been, at the most, 16 years of age in 1826. Perhaps there was the Sarah Brown who married a Fuller (Spivey) in Putnam Co GA in 1826 and a Sarah _____ who married a Brown first and Simeon Fuller 2nd. Or perhaps, Simeon and Sarah Fuller had to give a home to older children of a deceased relative, brother or sister. Regarding the Dr. vs. Jr. debate, the following Abstract from the March 7,1848, notice in the Southern Recorder should be of considerable interest. The Milledgeville, Georgia, Newspaper Clippings (Southern Recorder), Vol. VII: 1845-1848, by Tad Evans stated in its Tuesday, March 7, 1848, Issue. "Georgia, Jasper County: Sheriff Sales-On the first Tuesday in April next, before the Court House door in the town of Monticello, Jasper County, within the usual hours of sale, the following property, to wit: .5 head of horses, etc. levied on as the property of Peyton R. Clements, to satisfy executions or fi fas in favor of Pulaski S. Holt; Simon (sic) Fuller, Jr. and Michael W. McLeary, security; also..(Signed) S. H. Blackwell, Sheriff." p. 316 One and all should note that Simeon Fuller, Jr is named in this article dated March 7, 1848, and this is almost a full 17 months after Dr. Simeon Fuller died in Mt Meigs AL. Besides, I believe that the press of the day referred to Simeon Fuller, MD as Dr. Simeon Fuller in news account that included his name. Perhaps, I am mistaken about this, but it seems likely to me. I do not consider this conclusive proof that Dr Simeon Fuller and Simeon Fuller Jr are different individuals at all times and in all places, but I do assume that, in this one case, Dr. Simeon Fuller and Simeon Fuller Jr are different individuals. I have long considered the possibility that there might have been two Simeon Fuller, Jrs in Putnam Co GA. One was the Dr and the other was the Simeon who went to Russell Co AL. We definitely need to find a father for each of them. Of course, we assume that Simeon Fuller, Sr. who died in Walton Co GA was the father of one of them, but we do not want the other one to be an orphan. (4) Simeon Fuller who was murdered in Greene Co GA in 1849 by two sons of his last wife, who was herself deceased at the time of his murder. The step-sons of this Simeon Fuller came from LA and murdered Simeon, then an "old man," during an argument. The wife's name was Nancy Hall and they married about 4 Jan 1842 in Greene Co GA. Who were the ancestors and Fuller descendents, if any, of this Simeon Fuller? (5) Simeon Fuller who was the son of Elijah Fuller. Elijah died about 1825 in Greene Co GA and left minor orphan children by his second wife, Elizabeth Boggis. Elijah Fuller and Elizabeth Boggis married about 25 Oct 1811 in Greene Co GA. This Simeon Fuller apparently died about 1870 in Columbia Co AR. His guardian was James Culbertson who was a Witness to Elijah Fuller's 1825 Will. Culbertson apparently took Simeon to Troup Co GA while Simeon was still a minor. (What happened to Elizabeth Boggis Fuller???) Later this Simeon had children born to him in Heard Co GA. All of his children were born in GA, but he moved to AR with most, if not all, of them. Several of his children died in Scott Co AR, but he died in Columbia Co AR. According to the information that I have, which I am trying to verify, is that he was born about 1822 in Greene Co GA, married Sarah _______ before 1842 when their eldest child was supposedly born. Simeon and Sarah's children are named as: Thomas J Fuller (b. 1842 in GA, died Scott Co AR), Alpheus "Alf" Fuller (b. 1844 GA, died Scott Co AR), Louisa Fuller (b. 1846 in GA, d. before 1860), Amanda V. Fuller (b. 1848 in GA), Elisha Fuller (born 1850 in Heard Co GA, died Scott Co AR), Leander Fuller, (b. 1854, Heard Co GA, died Scott Co AR). In conclusion, I hope that folks will correct any errors that I have made and also will help us all learn more about the various Simeon Fullers, particularly the one who was murdered in Greene Co GA. We also need to find a father for either Dr. Simeon Fuller or the Simeon Fuller who removed to Russell Co AL. Franklin Ingram, Raleigh, NC
Hi all I am looking for any information I can find on Jonathan Fuller. He was my Ggrandfather, the info. that i have is that he married a lady by the name of Ann Cassely on Sept.17 1867 in Saint John N.B. Canada. It is said that Jonathan was born in Nova Scotia and that he was probably a descendant of the prominant Planter family who first migrated to what is now the United States on the Mayflower. Fuller made a profession of the catolic faith And was baptized on 12 September 1867, at the age of 36 years. Jonathan disappeared from Saint John some time shortly after the birth of his son P. Frederick and was never heard from again. if there is anybody out there who can help me out with my search it would be greatly appreciated. Other surnames that I am searching are: Campbell, Cassely, Murphy and Ryan -- - --------------------------------------------------- Click here for Free Video!! http://www.gohip.com/freevideo/
