    2. S. Mabry-Howles or Wade Howles
    3. The first person who posted about the private site may have phrased things awkwardly, or maybe it's the Mayflower thing that's making everyone so hostile. The sites are on familyhistory.com and are available to any family that wants a more private list. You can post pictures, recipes, have a chat, whatever. I was invited to one for a branch of my husband's family and check it out now and then. They run kind of slow, so I don't go there often. It's just a little more intimate and more flexible than the "anyone with this surname" lists, but there's room for and a need for both kinds, I think. Just my opinion, Scottie Mother of Wade Researching surnames Wade, Scott, Mabry,Cossitt, Father(r)ee, Carroll, Wise, Lacy, Boggan, Harden/in, Thornton,Fuller, Howles, Miles, Sapp, Westerfield,Whittinghill, Dewees(e), Langley, Early,Bozarth, DuPuy, Rose, and others These sites are real. 2. What are these Fullers afraid of? I have had trouble researching my Fullers, but have been told that they are Mayflower descendants - I haven't been able to get that far - though I must say that I haven't worked that hard on this line. My ancestor was Hiram Fuller, b. 02/22/1798 in Schenectady, NY and died 10/25/1867 in Chattahoochee, GA, son of Daniel Fuller, b. Jan. 1776 and Abigail Miller - none of this is documented, but info from a book written by a cousin. There were several Daniel Fullers in upstate NY and I haven't sorted out mine - anyone know of this Daniel? Pat

    3. AMEN !! So anyone of you who think you are better because your Fuller came on the Mayflower remember all of the native americans that were here before any of the Fullers got here. The native Americans are the real and true Americans of this great land. As my husband says if you don't like it go back where you came from! Get off my land!!! 3. I, too am related to the Fullers of the Mayflower and I don't see where that has anything to do with being on a separate list just because I am the 8th great granddaughter of Edward Fuller and that does not make me any better than any of the other Fuller Descendents that are on this list. I don't think I need to be on the separate list just because he is of the Mayflower. Whats to discuss any how about them being on the Mayflower. Records are records and that is what counts. I have documentation and that is all I care about. 3. Hi, I know of a site where ONLY Mayflower Fuller's can chat about their lines. It is over at MyFamily.Com. If you are interested in going to this site, e-mail me and tell me how you are related to the Mayflower Fuller's. I then will pass this along to the appropriate person and that person can get you into the site. Unhappily, it is not one of those sites I can just give you a link and your there. It is private but free. Ellen Baker

Regards, Deb New Privacy Threat: Genealogy? by Declan McCullagh 3:00 p.m. May. 18, 2000 PDT Just when you thought there was nothing new to say about the oft-cited privacy threats that Americans face, along comes Congress with another worry: genealogy. During a privacy hearing Thursday before a House Judiciary subcommittee, Rep. Ed Pease (R-Ind.) said the growing number of websites that allow people to trace their families' history was a threat that called for legislative action. "There are some commercial ventures now providing information on this subject ... oftentimes genealogical information involves a mother's maiden name, and that is often used by many as a password," Pease said. ..................
