If you are using Internet Explorer as your Brower when searching Ancestry databases, the Save option (at the bottom of the browser window) has an arrow at the right end. Click that arrow (not just Save) to see various save options. If you simply select Save, the image you are saving goes to the download folder. If you use Save As, you can select which folder in which to save your document. The problem is neither FTM 2014, nor Win 8.1. I am not complaining about FTM. I have used it for YEARS. The census is not going to the documents folder, or the picture folder. Only going to the bottom of the screen and can't get it into any mail. I am not a programmer. now, if someone is using 8.1 and they happen to be using AOL maybe .they have figured it out. Normally by trial and error I can figure it out, but this has me completely befuddled In a message dated 12/19/2013 10:06:53 P.M. I'm sure Daryl is correct about the Download folder in which case it is Windows 8.1's default not FTM's.
