    3. One of the beauties of the newer versions (since FTM 2008) of FTM is the flexibility of the program. Most things can be accomplished using many different ways. The easiest way to manage a fact's properties is to use "Manage Facts" feature. This is available from any work area by 1. Click on "Edit" in the Menu bar at the top of the window. 2. Look in the bottom section of the drop down list and you will see four areas which you can "Manage". Select "Manage Facts". 3. A dialog box will open listing all facts available in the FTM file. 4. As you scroll the list, the fact's parameters are displayed at the bottom of the dialog box. 5. To change one of the parameters, click the Properties button. 6. The Fact Properties dialog box will open and it will let you change the Fact Options. These options only control the fields displayed for data entry. Displaying the field or not has no effect on data previously entered in that fact's description field. 7. You may also edit the wording and sentence structure for how the information is displayed in the Genealogy Reports. Those reports are the only place this sentence is used. 8. After making any changes, Click OK. Hope that answers your question. BJ On 1/23/2014 5:32 AM, John Hope wrote: > John: > I have also installed 2014 - how do I turn on the description field?
