Has anyone had problems with slow opening of a file on FTM 2014 after applying the patch that brought FTM up to 22.0.0.1243? I even had a problem applying that patch. I first got an error message that said that it could not update since there was a file already on the laptop with the same name. I tried right click and run as administrator and that did not work. Knowledge base said try running the update from the link in the knowledge base, this worked. But when it opened FTM 2014 it came up like a brand new install, asking to start a new tree. It did list my files but did not open the last file that I had been on. It did open my file after I clicked on it to open. Finally after opening all my other files (3 of them) and closing, it remembered. Now the opening, it took 30 seconds to show the splash screen and sat there initializing for 2 minutes before the file opened. This compares with my desktop that takes 5 sec for splash screen and 45 seconds to open the file (same file). File is 3,352 people and 1,061 media. Both laptop and desktop Win 7 64 bit with 6 GB ram.
