I have this problem as well. However, FTM doesn't just freeze, it crashes completely. FTM 2014, Win 8, 64bit. It doesn't happen all the time, but quite frequently and there is no consistency of when it occurs -- no one particular person; copying to one or several people; not one particular fact.
