    1. [FTM-TECH] copy a sub-tree from a tree

    3. Mac -- FTM 2012 I'm certain the logical equivalent my problem has appeared here before, but a brief sortie through the Archives didn't fide what I wanted. So, once again . . . I have a tree that has about 100 individuals that consists of a single couple (Samuel and his wife) and their descendants as far as the first half of the 20th century. When printed on paper, it is spread over 5 or 6 sheets, taped together. I have had several copies printed, taped, and distributed. But it's really a nuisance, and I tell myself "there's gotta be a better way!" It occurred to me that Samuel had 6 children. So I might be able to print 6 trees, each on a single sheet of standard 8.5"x12" paper--each consisting of Samuel + childX + childX's descendants for X=1,2,3,4,5,6. To do this, I need to copy each of the 6 sub-trees, and print them separately. But I don't want to re-enter by hand the basic genealogical facts for 100 people. So . . . There has to be a way to copy, one at a time, the sub-trees for Samuel and his 6 children, and their descendants. But I failed when I tried to juggle two trees at a time. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Or perhaps tell me where to find something logically identical in the Archives?
