    3. My problem is more with additions. Did you know that folks with trees over 50,000 people are very few in the total collection of trees on Ancestry? I have talked to several "Associates" about my problem and they essentially said that it's the SIZE of the tree that is creating the problem. Essentially what is happening is every time I add, say 100 people to my FTM tree and then sync, the AFT adds 108 people *to the count*. I have even noticed that even the count in my FTM tree is not accurate to what I have added. More than one Associate has said that the larger the tree gets, the more difficult it is for the counting system to keep up. Going by my FTM tree, my count is 62,735 vs. my synched AFT at 62,863, making a current difference of 128 folks (up from 86 two months ago). Since the AFT trees do not have the ability to "look" for duplicates, and I am certainly not going to manually check through the 62,000+ names for duplicates, the Associate said just to accept the fact that the count itself is probably wrong, and 128 is very little compared to the total. So, John, if you apply his reasoning to your deletions, unless you can see your un-named spouses still sitting there, there is a good possibility that the *count* in your AFT can't keep up with the changes. 3. I am still using FTM 2012 and have 120,801 people and still adding to this number when I have a chance. You might try deleting your online tree and re-uploading the entire tree again. It's a pain and every time I do this I have to contend with 'Leaf Hints' on individuals that have been dealt with before. I might give it a try if nothing else works ... but in the meanwhile ... Today I decided to check things out, using my Test Tree. I have 100 people on this Tree. Through merges and deletions I trimmed it down to 91 people at FTM-2014, but the online Ancestry Tree still showed 100 people. There was no indication at the Sync Log that any deletions were made. When I trimmed down my online Ancestry Tree the Sync Long showed the deletions. I now have an FTM database of 90 people, but 95 people counted on the online Ancestry Tree. I'm looking to see where the errors are. So what gives? - Where does the fault lie? Not in the Trees. I uninstalled it and re-installed FTM-2014. I compacted and repacked the Test Tree. While this speeded things up. re. TreeSync, it hasn't cured the number count problem. So ... I decided to build a new Test Tree (on FTM-2014 and at Ancestry), beginning with my family, etc. etc. and adding record hints from Ancestry. Some duplicate people showed up, but after running the 'Duplicate People' wizard, managed to sort them out. I'd TreeSync periodically and *Voila!* everything is working perfectly! - Of course, this is a small tree of 52 people. But at least it tells me something: (a.) The problem is in the Tree at FTM-2014, or (b.) The problem is in the Tree at Ancestry. If you were sitting at my desk what would be your next step? - Many Thanks and Cheers.
