    1. [FTM-TECH] Link to Ancestry Tree Lost or Confused after Installing on new computer
    2. Ian Marr
    3. Unfortunately, I have had to move to a new computer. I installed FTM 2012 on the new machine and made sure I registered correctly after copying across all my data files, etc. Under the old system, I had uploaded and linked my tree to Ancestry. I now find that this link seems to be lost or at least confused. In the PLAN workspace right-hand panel under Ancestry Trees it shows Marr/Aitken/Watts - linked to FTM This is correct In centre pane, under Treesync - Access via Ancestry it shows Not uploaded and linked This tree is not linked or shared online with the option to click on Upload & Link to Ancestry My concern is that if I do take the above option, I will end up with two identical trees on Ancestry. I would like to avoid this. Any advice or suggestions? Regards, Ian MARR at 38° 24' 01.299" S by 142° 34' 11.9094" E; 11m above sea level This message can be considered to be in the public domain.
