I'm the original poster. This afternoon I loaded FTM on my laptop with the orignal disk and thought perhaps I would have success this time. I checked on updates and then started the new Tree adding the 5 people for which I have information. Again I am having the same problem with Leaf/Hints/Merge. I wait and wait for the information to appear in the bottom right part of the screen. I know it's working because of the circular "thing" on the screen. Maybe this is a conspiracy by FTM to force me to purchase version 2014 :) Nancy

Nancy, I did not go back to any earlier messages, only looking at what you provided here. What Version of Family Tree Maker are you having problems with? Did you REGISTER FTM on Ancestry? Are you Logged Into Ancestry.com? What problem are you having with the Web Merge Feature? What version of Windows are you using?
