I thought AKA meant "Also Known As" and refers to people who have a nickname or alias. The people I'm deleting are unknown and have simply been used as 'markers', which was a convenient tool in my previous genealogy program, but not necessary in FTM. Most of these, but not all, are unnamed spouses. The 'marker' I used was: ?? -?? (?? = unknown given name; -?? = unknown surname). I'm deleting anyone whose given name or surname are known (eg. ?? Brown, or Mary -??). Where there is more than one spouse (and children), I'm retaining the marker. I'm also eliminating unknown progenitors, which I used to name as 'Ancestor Brown', 'Ancestor Phillips', etc. I have many of these and it is just taking up space. However, I'm keeping some where there might be a story related to the Surname, or possible notes regarding where the unknown ancestor might live. Many Thanks and Cheers.
