    1. [FTM-TECH] Use of FTM 2014 on Two Computers
    2. Ken Schroeder
    3. Please be patient with me for sometimes I don't get my need across on the first try. If I understand things correctly, the suggestion presented by FTM Companion GUIDE is to: 1) create tree in FTM on my desktop 2) upload and sync that FTM file to an AMT on Ancestry 3) maintain my FTM- AMT sync by ONLY making changes to either my desktop FTM or AMT 3) when on the road make ALL changes and additions ONLY via internet connected laptop to AMT 4) when back home, via desktop FTM sync AMT with desktop FTM to get road changes into desktop FTM Under this guidance there is only one file and one computer, as the laptop is only used to get via the internet to the AMT. Need or wish given that "One file to one computer rule with FTM 2014 SYNC process capability": Is there anyway to have the FTM 2014 program and data & media files on the laptop on the road for say a month? While relaxing I'd like to use the FTM program to generate reports, record research notes and other tasks that FTM program has to offer - separate from AMT data file changes which I understand must be accomplished ONLY via internet. Can this be accomplished and if so how? Detailed step by step instructions , please. Thank you Ken
