Hi Barry 1) the person you spoke to did not understand the question posed or did not know what they were talking about 2) the person who said they had email alerts has not come back to my question which was are they meaning an email alert to their personal inbox or to their Ancestry inbox I would like to see confirmation but suspect they meant to their Ancestry inbox (ie they did not receive an email from Ancestry into their personal email system) I posted an enquiry about the message system on another more general list I had one reply saying they had received an email alert from Ancestry the day before that they had a message waiting for them I asked them to clarify what sort of message (I wondered if it was a message from Ancestry rather than a message from a user) I have a small tree on Ancestry Try a search in trees for a Benjamin SEYMOUR b1774 tree name Seymour Family Tree 1 Send me a message and lets see what I get Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 27/02/2014 17:25, Barry S. I keep a separate email address just for genealogy and I archive ALL messages. The last email notification I received about a new Member Connect message was in July 203. But there are two more messages in my Ancestry inbox since then that I got no notification of.
