If you shorten the window too much, you >begin losing area from the bottom first. I have a 24" diagonal wide screen. It's quite large is ample for my purposes. The recommended Windows resolution for my monitor is 1920 x 1080. I seldom have FTM open full-screen. Rather, I place it on the right side of my screen (Win+Right Arrow), and have another window positioned on the left (Win+Left Arrow), such as Ancestry, photos, files, email, or some other object or web page. In Full-Screen (or full half-screen), the ratio between the Task Panel and the Web Dashboard on my desktop is 5:2. If I draw the FTM window down (or up), the Task panel reduces in size. But the Ancestry Web Dashboard remains the same. What I want is the ability to enlarge the Dashboard vertically so the small windows within the Dashboard can be enlarged. I don't need a large Tasks workspace, I do need a larger Dashboard. Is that asking too much? - I think not. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Maynard Phillip Island, Australia ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Let there be Peace on Earth, Justice and Prosperity ... ... and an End to Violence, Poverty and Greed."
