I Google 'How can I divide my genealogy tree into maternal and paternal trees in FTM?' and all I found were pro & con discussions and no explanations on how to do it. I'm not interested in the pro and cons of doing it. I just want to know how to do it. I'm thinking, I have to save the file twice with new names - one for maternal and one for paternal. I then detach one of my parents. But now, how do I delete all the ancestors of the others? Or there another way?
