Russ  I'd only run it if for some reason FTM is slowing down on you, as it was for me this evening. I ran it once (after backing up), and it scored 0.00%. My program is running a lot faster. Tips for Resolving Performance Issues, go to: http://ancestryau.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5142/related/1 (Summary) => If your computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for Family Tree Maker, the program will not work well. => Family Tree Maker's Compact File tool will re-index your file, remove unnecessary data, and optimize your tree's performance. => Merging duplicate individuals or sources can reduce the overall size of your file, make your file more efficient, and often. => Temporarily disabling Internet access in Family Tree Maker can speed up your experience greatly, especially if you have large files. => If you don't want to disable Internet access entirely, you might want to turn off Family Tree Maker's automatic Ancestry.com search feature. => Disabling fastfields in large databases can also speed things up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Maynard Phillip Island, Australia ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Let there be Peace on Earth, Justice and Prosperity ... ... and an End to Violence, Poverty and Greed."
